NO-SHOW ON MOVE DAY. We were moving overseas. Estes was contracted by our international shipper to do the pickup on the scheduled day. The international shipper told us to expect a contact from Estes to arrange a shipping time on that day. Estes never contacted us to do this. The morning of the move, we asked the international shipper to reconfirm with Estes that they were going to show, and Estes assured the shipper that we were on the list, verified our contact number, and told them the driver would contact us before proceeding. We were never contacted at all by Estes that day. Our delivery window came and went without any contact. The truck never showed up. Estes never contacted us or the international shipper. The international shipper tried to contact Estes but their e-mails and phone calls were not returned.
i work in shipping in receiving for a good amount of time. i work with some of the best and worse shipping companies. When possible I use SWIFT for delivery instead of ESTES, and we all know at SWIFT all the drivers are inexperienced rookies, but at least there customer service is acceptable. ESTES is one of many last resorts i call for a shipment, bad mouth drivers, poor attitude from the office personal like if they hate their life as much as their job. Dispatch has a large mouth filled with colorful vocabulary. Hands down 2nd worse delivery company i have worked with.
Spoke with several managers. They dont seem to care whether or not truck will come to pick up our material or have it delivered on time. They messed up our pick up address and sent the trucker to opposite side of town. They said they will come late to pick up, and no truck came to pick up. I called dispatch and they told me the trucker wasnt even going to come. Mike the manager from estes all he said was "nothing is guaranteed" even if it was their mistake to send the trucker to the wrong location.
Tony Oha horrible rude terminal manager. Customer service acts like they dont want to be there, one girl smacking on phone when she answered it and i heard something that sounded like a tv was on when transferred to dispatch. Three fails for pickup request. Moving on to another freight company. Funny only people giving company good ratings are employees, looking closely pic shows estes cap on his head. Nice try. Dont bother with this company.
I called to schedule a pickup and had to ask the lady several times to repeat what she said because she was barely opening her mouth to speak, but you can totally hear her yawning. Unprofessional and not courteous at all. UPDATE: truck did not come. My co-worker called to follow up and a different representative took his call and was rude to him also. It looks lile everybody there needs customer service training.
Horrible experience here. Customer service sucks, no one is pleasant speaking with them or even understanding. Been waiting three days for a pallet skid pick up. No call or anything they would not be here each. I have had to reach out numerous times to dispatch and yet the pick up still waits in my shop.......
BEYOND awful customer service. Rarely answer their phone, when they do, they are rude rude rude. Scheduled a delivery, never showed up or called, then called the next day to say it would be another 5 days before they could ATTEMPT to redeliver. Such a shame that Home Depot uses this poorly run company. AVOID!
Very rude people. They need to learn how to talk to customers. A guy name Tim in Houston claims to be "the owner" of the business for 32 years, which I have my doubt, is not very professional and careless about customer. He must think he is the only one in the business and no competition exist. AVOID.
Truly awful. Delivered a glass display case in a crate with ZERO PACKING MATERIAL WHATSOEVER. Yes, shocking that it was broken everywhere upon arrival. Best part is that the driver refused to wait while it was uncrated and inspected before he left.

Terminal manager is beyond rude. Service is severely lacking. They are now on our banned carriers list. Go with R and L or Saia. Friendly people and great customer service.
Rates are average and service is sub par. Do not expect your freight to be picked up or dropped off on time. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Left my freight in Cali, then miss routed to St Louis before arriving into Houston a week late.
Awful service, do not return calls, horrible shipper--management is argumentative at best.
