WORST EXPERIENCE IN OVER 30 YEARS!The packing crew arrived at 10 am on Monday, they sent 3 people, At some point during the day the lead packer left for a few hours to "get the brakes on their truck" done. One of the packers was less experienced and spent most of their time on their cell phone texting. One was in the garage and appeared to be working most consistently. The lead was packing the kitchen in late afternoon and kept talking about "how many hidden cabinets their were", ironic in that they were all clear and large, at one point this person declared the kitchen complete and went to the task of counting boxes. Somehow the count was incorrect (over) 3 times, while the homeowner was able to count boxes correctly the first time. Tues, the 2 additional loaders along with 2 of the previous packers arrived and continued packing and loading. At some point during the day, the lead packer from Mon was in the attic packing and put their foot through the sheet-rock ceiling above the garage, this person did not tell the others they were working with or the home owner, rather this person left shortly thereafter. When it was noticed, the 3 remaining were all as surprised as the home owner, the homeowner was able to fix the ceiling. When the spouse of homeowner arrived home, they opened all the cabinets and found that an entire 45 inch upper cabinet was left unpacked, it held all of the plates, cubs, glasses, etc so the homeowner packed it. The homeowner who was present both Mon and Tues was actively involved with the packing and loading as the loaders will attest to and at many points they remarked that they would not have been able to complete as much as they did without the homeowners help. By Tues at 11 the home was still not loaded and there were still tasks the homeowners had to complete to be ready for the 0830 closing the next day. The loaders were finally compete at approx 1200 noon with the next delay being the need for the driver of the 18 wheeler to come and hook up his truck to pull the big trailer out of the homeowners drive where it had been since Monday am. The homeowners were told that the driver was enroute with an ETA of 30-45 minutes. The driver had still not arrived 2 hrs later and the homeowners had to leave to do a walk through on their new home after sitting in the driveway waiting for almost 2 hours. As the owners were leaving the neighborhood, the truck driver arrived, one homeowner returned to make sure the 18 wheeler left as the closing was completed and the owners no longer owned the home. Somehow, the truck was not able to be hitched to the cab vehicle and the owner was told that another truck would arrive that evening to remove the 18 wheeler. That never happened, the 18 wheeler was sill in the driveway the next morning as was confirmed by a neighbor who sent a picture. We closed on our home in Austin and arrived at the same time as the truck at our new home, approx 11 am on TH 31 Aug. For the unloading, there were 6 men, they immediately began working and were as careful as possible. However, the only way to describe the process of unloading was that it felt like trying to get a drink of water from a fire hose that was fully open. It is important to note that the loaders and unloaders were extremely polite and professional and as careful as they could possibly be at all times. The homeowner was in communication with the salesperson at many points during this process to express concern and issues. As the process became more chaotic, the salesperson asked the homeowner what could be done to "make this right", the owner responded to the salesperson to consider what they would want if it were their move. The homeowner has not heard from the sales person since The Aug 31. The last message left the homeowner with the impression that no charges would be made to the homeowners credit card until adjustments were made to the quote given all of the difficulties encountered. The homeowner checked their account on Friday Sept 1 to find that the the charge had been made against the account for the full amount.
