I was expecting a delivery of prescription medicine. When it did not arrive, I followed the tracking number provided by the shipper. According to the information on the post office site, the package was received at Albert Thomas Post Office on Nov. 14, 2015. Then it said that the package was delivered to the mailbox at my house at 11:04 am on Nov. 16, 2015. The package was NOT delivered. In fact, my mail never arrives until the afternoon, so 11:04 is questionable in the first place. I called the post office in attempt to locate the package. After ringing at least a dozen times, the phone was finally answered but I was put on hold and nobody ever returned. This service is unacceptable. The service is also unacceptable when you go to the post office in person. The lines are long and slow. Often there is only one person at the counter for a line that is out the door. Plus when you need to pick up a package you wait for 10 minutes to an hour for someone even to come to the door where you are told to wait. What can be done about this post office? UPDATE: I finally got through to the manager of this post office. After checking his records, he insisted that the package had been scanned by the carrier when it was delivered at ll:04 am on Nov. 16. It was not delivered. My pharmacy company said they needed something in writing from the post office that the package was not delivered or received in order to replace the prescription. The post office refused to give me anything because they say it was delivered. Fortunately, I had one more refill remaining and the company agreed to refill that early. This means that my medication will run out 90 days before it should and I will need to contact my doctor for a new prescription. I know this package was not delivered. I received a lot of mail on Nov. 16, but no package. This is so totally frustrating!!! This post office location needs a complete house cleaning - new management, new employees, continual oversight until it has improved performance. UPDATE #2: I became aware that another package, this one from Amazon, had not been delivered. I went to Amazon, got the tracking number, and traced it through the USPS site. According to USPS, this package - which would have been large - was delivered on the same day and at the same hour as the lost medication. This never happened! Neither package was delivered. This was a Saturday. My mail does not come until late afternoon on Saturday (or any day), though USPS said the package was delivered at 11:04 am. I was home all day and would have been aware of a package the size of the one from Amazon. Neither package was delivered to my address. Either the delivery person delivered both packages to the wrong address, stole them, or dumped them. I asked my pharmacy to use United Parcel Service when they replace my medication; unfortunately this is impossible with Amazon.
I have had issues with this post office on again off again for about a year. I live in an apartment complex that has package lock boxes and a front office that will gladly accept packages for residents. However, on many instances I have had packages marked as delivered and nowhere to be found. I also regularly have packages that are delivered to the front office with no notice of delivery left in my mailbox (as it should be). One time I was actually expecting a package and happened to be in the front office when the postal worker was dropping resident packages off. I noticed they were all small packages and I was expecting something rather large (about 50lbs) so I asked her if that was all of her packages for the day and she said it was. Knowing my package had been marked as out for delivery I ask if she minded checking to make sure that was all of them and low and behold my very large package was there sitting right at back of mail truck. I have complained to the USPS and to this local office on multiple occasions to no avail. I am an amazon prime subscriber and I use to order things at least 3-4 times a week when they were doing deliveries primarily through UPS, but I have almost completely stopped ordering online because I never know if the USPS is going to actually deliver my packages or not. It is completely disappointing and frustrating.
It has the worst service. Disorganized and slow. Orders arrive late. If you pay for a service two days you lose your money that they take two days to deliver the package after they receive it. After that you have to wait more than 15 minutes you quick service (the door is only to deliver packages) for you attend some employee and not very good bad gana..muy service. There really is not any service customer ...
This post office deserves ZERO stars. I had a package sent EXPRESS two day shipping and it has been OVER a week. I filed 2 REDILVERIES and nothing has happened I am still waiting on a package. I have filed to complaints with the MAIN USPS offices, and still no one has done anything to help me. This is a pure joke! I have called over 12 times and no one has answered the phone. Finally when I got someone I get placed on hold for more than 10 minutes at a time. I then hang up and call back, again no answer. So I just keep blowing up their phone to just get placed on hold. I am then told they have to "find" the package. SERIOUSLY how are you even getting paid? You do a absolute horrible job!
Counter service here is terrible. Employees play loud and obnoxious music behind the counter. I see people wait and wait in line and leave in frustration as the counter employees are in the back and not at the counter. I came in one time to pick up a package and the package had been ripped open, much of the contents missing, and the whole thing wrapped back up in a plastic bag, employees refused to accept responsibility and also refused to provide any information to fill out a complaint. This place would run a whole lot better if they hired people with down syndrome.
When my Amazon Prime purchases are delivered by USPS they almost never deliver within the 2-day window. My packages go to a business address and USPS routinely says, in the tracking, that the address is incorrect or the package could not be left. In fact the package will appear a day or so later - at the supposedly incorrect address. USPS cooks the books so they can take their time delivering - they never take responsibility for the delay. And good luck trying to find someone who cares or who can correct it. Super frustrating.
i have had a tablet, 2 phones, and carparts (about the size of a small electronic device) that were declared "delivered" that never made it to my apt. i have a mailbox with keys and the apt has large drop boxes but i have to rely on ups or fed ex to get my packages. i am really tired of having the online merchants i buy from foot the bill for crooked or incompetant mail carriers. i can follow the trail on the tracking- it always ends at this post office. houston 77062 delivered- i dont even live in the 77062 zip code - explain that
Worst staff. My EAD card was shown out for delivery on Sep 11th 2017 and tracking showed "delivered at mailbox" on 13th Sep 2017 while it has not actually been delivered at all. I have been going to this office every single day since last week and the only response they give me is they need to talk to the carrier/mailman. On asking the appointment of supervisor, they keep on saying he was in a meeting and cannot give me an appointment. Talked personally to the mailman but he has no clue of the missing mail.
When I moved here 9 years ago and my mail was being delivered via the Nassau Bay post office I never had a problem. Since the USPS began delivery my mail and packages via the El Camino Real Post Office things have been very bad. My mail is many times wadded and crumpled up then shoved into my mailbox. I have spent the last 30 minutes on hold attempting to track a package that they claim was delivered 8 days ago but was not delivered and now they cannot find it. Use at your own risk.
Post office delivered boxes 3 days this past week. Left them at the door and all was fine. Yesterday I get an email from Amazon saying USPS tried to deliver something at 8:00 pm, no one was home, so they left a notice with instructions. Reality was that we were home every minute of the day with a sick daughter, no notice of instructions were left on the door. So what did I do now? I am expecting they ever went to the wrong house, or never got out of the truck. Amazing
I wish there was No star option. In fact you rate them negative. My packet was out for delivery and never eached my mail box, despite asking them repeatedly I never got any response( the lady who spoke to me in the office, I am sorry but mam you suck.Please take some responsibility about your job ). After 25 days I get a call asking did you receive the packet? Really, I had to request the packet again from the original sender.
I had same condescending treatment by same employee twice. After first experience I always avoided her but today the man in front of me was taking a long time. Rolling of eyes and overall condescending affect on her face. If I was wrong, she could have explained it in a professional way but she was ugly rude. I will report her next time if it happens third time but I wonder if that would do anything.
Worst! Post office! Ever! Oh my god! One person helping customers. As slowly as humanly possible. A boom box on the far side of the lobby, blasting top 40 radio at an ear-splitting volume. When a customer turned the radio off (yay!) the clerk stopped what she was doing and held up a line of 6 people to go over there and fiddle with her radio to make the ear-splitting start up again. Avoid.
I tried to report that I haven’t had mail delivery in 2 days but your stupid automated service would not respond to tha voice command “ carrier”. It just kept asking for a tracking number. It’s not the post office building I am complaining about it’s the lack of delivery and the supposed answering service
3rd time my package was “delivered” but not really. Wrong house, key in wrong box.... now the carrier tells me “calm down”?!?!?!?! If she did her job correctly we would BOTH be calm. Was put on HOLD, 30 minutes and counting.... trying to find the package i paid for, along with the shipping.......
I get my mail late or not at all. Sometimes the mail box for the neighborhood is left open. Mail is delivered crumpled. I know my neighbors only because I have to deliver their mail. I have no doubt as to why the US Postal service is loosing money.
They left my mail at the leasing office and never leave a note my mail box. Its happen all the time. I think they Hate working with USPS. I got my mail after 5 days. Someone need the purge all the employee and get the new one.
Just had a great experience with this location. I had a misplaced packaged and I spoke with two different employees - both were extremely helpful. Went out of their way to try to locate my missing package
Do not try getting your passport made or renewed here. The service is terrible and while it might have changed, I have tried 3 times over the past 5 years and they are always very un-helpful.
Called the first time, phone rang forever then finally I woman picked up and asked me to call back in an hour and a half without even acknowledging what I just asked her.
2 packages gone missing within a month, said DELIVERED from USPS...never got it... Today got notice from Leasing office that my packages were SENT to wrong address
None of these folks want to actually do anything that requires them to move from their computer/work space. I had to call usps direct to get something done here.
NO STARS YOU PEOPLE SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK, SUCK - Have to call and schedule re-delivery EVERY SINGLE TIME I ORDER A PACKAGE, usually more than once.
This branch REFUSES to scan and provide a receipt for prepaid items. Had to drive to the Webster PO where they do this without even having to ask.
I have been living in my home in our new neighborhood for 10 days and still have not gotten the lock on our mailbox changed so I can get my mail.
Horrible service.Wow . I honestly am just baffled . This place is the most horrible establishment in the whole state of TX.
