BRIDGING THE GENERATION GAP

If we worship the same Lord and read the same Bible, how can our generational values be so different?

This session will provide information on each generation’s perspective as leaders, followers and members. The purpose is to improve our intergenerational communication, work/ministry and personal relationships. Embracing our generational differences and minimizing our clashes involve trust and some risk. THE BROKEN LEADERS

Who hasn’t tasted the pain we find in the “gaps” between desire and reality? Though there is small pain in small gaps and large pain in large ones, life in the gap is the story line of a woman and a leader. In both personal and professional scenarios, we are challenged to live and lead in ways that either drive us toward an encounter with God or toward a life of self-effort and control. This interactive workshop will explore the amazing offer in the Gospel and discuss its far reaching implications for our lives.

INFLUENCING CHANGE IN THE ACADEMIC WORLD

PEER PANEL

As women assume faculty and administrative positions in Christian higher education, they become change agents by their very presence. Women often bring a different perspective than their male colleagues and introduce new ideas which can strengthen and enhance their academic setting. What are the most effective ways to influence positive change? This workshop will explore the difficulties and challenges of implementing change and help discover the means by which women best facilitate change in their academic institutions.
